The Path Here Wasn't Straight
Before tech and business, I played professional futsal across Brazil, Italy, and Belgium for over a decade. Three major knee surgeries. Three comebacks. The sport taught me what school never did: talent without discipline fails, and average teams with strong systems beat talented individuals without cohesion.
At 25, I started university while still playing — sometimes sleeping in my car between lectures and training. My first exam, I stared at a blank page for 20 minutes before walking out. But I figured it out. Learning became a practice, like football. By the time I finished my Master's in Governance and Global Systems, I'd learned how to learn.
That led me to Brussels, where I worked in EU policy with organisations like the China IP SME Helpdesk and European DIGITAL SME Alliance. I learned how ecosystems work, how to build partnerships across complex systems, and how to navigate environments where nothing is straightforward.
What 4 Years at Odoo Taught Me
When I joined Odoo, everything clicked. I wasn't selling licenses, I was building an ecosystem. Over four years as a Sales Manager, I onboarded more than 1,000 partners into Odoo's global network and generated over €2 million in annual recurring revenue.
But here's what stuck with me: 75% of those partners stayed trapped at lower business levels despite having the technical skills to succeed. Partner after partner, the same pattern: brilliant at delivering Odoo projects, struggling to grow the business around them.
The problem was never product knowledge. It was the absence of a systematic approach to revenue — no documented sales process, no structured outbound, no post-sales growth strategy. Product excellence alone doesn't drive growth. Revenue systems do.
